Not that I don't believe, respect, and admire your spirit but I should tell you threats in general don't always apply, let alone this one. But your intent is duly noted.

That's not an answer to my question by the way, just a fact that I've learnt.

But I wonder what he saves for punishment for those who would try to kill him, if he's using all the orders and threats of castration for you. More, or less painful, do you think?

Depends on if death is more or less painful than castration. I think it could be argued either way.

How would you argue?

Once you are dead, you feel nothing. Death, therefore, takes the pain away. Castration causes tremendous pain, and I imagine it would persist long after the deed was done.

Or, if the castrator has a shaky hand, the castrated ends up dead anyways, after a long time of pain.

Then again pain is temporary. Death is pretty final.

I have, as they say, no salamander in the race on either the castration or the inevitability of death.

But I have met a handful of delightful young ladies who wouldn't, probably, object. Might even volunteer to wield the knife.

We must consider all opinions.

Their opinions are just, I think. But it is impossible to castrate every last man on earth. There will always be one who can hide, who can evade that fate. But those same men cannot run from death.

And where's that leave us undead? Some of us have got castratey bits and a very long stride that puts us well ahead of death.

Though if an angry mob is lopping bits off of a vampire it's usually his head. His actual head.
